Description
Scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis to candidates who demonstrate in their application for admission excellent academic performance (current and/ or previously gained) and any relevant extra-curricular or professional experience.
All MRes Physics offer holders in the Department of Physics who meet the eligibility criteria will receive the scholarship.
Benefits
Scholarships of £7,000 are available to new international students joining the MRes Physics in the academic year 2025/26.
Eligibility
- The scholarships are available for eligible self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying applicants enrolling on a full-time MRes Physics at the University of Strathclyde’s campus in Glasgow, in the academic year 2025/26.
- Students who receive full sponsorship from a government office or embassy are not eligible for these scholarships.
- To receive their scholarship, awardees must enrol on the MRes Physics in academic year 2025/26 and continue to meet all of the above eligibility criteria.
- The scholarship cannot be deferred or transferred to any other entry points.
- No separate scholarship application is necessary. All students who meet the eligibility criteria will receive the scholarship.
- Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.
- Students who do not meet all of the eligibility criteria will not be considered for this scholarship.
- The Faculty of Science’s decision on the awarding of scholarships is final. Appeals will not be considered.
